OnBase Upgrade February, 2020

Information Services will be upgrading OnBase to OnBase Foundation over the weekend. OnBase will be unavailable beginning Friday at 5:00pm through Tuesday, February 17th at 8:00am.

The latest release of OnBase is finally here – OnBase Foundation: the most secure and forward-looking version of OnBase to date.

The release of OnBase Foundation marks the first in a series of Foundation product releases across Hyland’s content services platform. For products with Foundation versions, Hyland will provide frequent updates via enhancement (EPs) – starting with this initial release of OnBase Foundation EP1 – making new features, products, and security updates available on an increased cadence for both cloud and on-premises customers throughout a calendar year.

While there are no major changes to business processes, some notable enhancements include:

  • the option to exclude embedded attachments from the Outlook import process
  • allowing users to place multiple notes without having to re-select the note type from the ribbon in the Unity client
  • disabling continuous scrolling so documents will not automatically scroll to the next page when a user reaches the bottom of the page
  • displaying an indexing stopped or completed dialog after completing all documents within a batch
  • options to hide batch counts, document counts, and sub status queues within Unity batch processing
