Emergency Alert Notification System (Rave Alert)

Log into Rave to manage your account

MCPHS University has partnered with Rave Mobile Safety to offer an emergency alert notification system called Rave Alert to deliver reliable emergency text and email messages to employess and students any time there is an emergency that poses a safety concern for the community.

No registration is required. You are automatically signed up if you have an MCPHS email address.

Rave Alert is the official emergency notification system MCPHS uses to communicate with students and employees any time there is an emergency that poses a safety concern for the community. Rave specializes in higher education emergency communication and serves as the alert system for the other Colleges of the Fenway schools.

Our Rave Alert system is only intended for MCPHS students and employees.

An emergency is considered any event that poses a safety risk to members of the University community. Rave will be used to communicate safety alerts and information about inclement weather closures.

Text messages
Text messages are sent from Rave Alert using something called short codes. When you receive a text via a short code, you’ll receive a message from either 67283 or 226787. We strongly encourage you to save this number in your phone address book after you receive your first message. This way, in future emergencies, the message will be more recognizable as an official communication from the University. If your carrier or phone does not support short code messaging, messages you receive will come from

Email messages
Email messages sent from Rave Alert will be sent from the email address: Please be sure this email address is not blacklisted or blocked by your email providers.

Email messages sent from Rave Alert will be sent from the email address: After you configure your alerts for the first time, check your email configurations and make sure this email address is an approved email you wish to receive.

You are automatically subscribed to the Rave Alert system once you’ve received your employee or student ID and email address.

You cannot opt out of emergency messages delivered to your MCPHS-issued email address; however, you can unsubscribe your phone and email addresses by logging into the system and deleting these subscriptions. You may also stop messages directly through your phone by texting the word STOP to 67283.

You’ll use your MCPHS username and password to log in. This is the username and password you use to log in to your desktop computer, computers in labs or workstations, MyMCPHS or Blackboard.

If you have never attended MCPHS before and have received an emergency alert from our system, it’s likely that your phone number was previously used by someone affiliated with MCPHS who used this system. You may opt out of receiving these text messages by texting the word STOP to 67283. These instructions should also be included in the text of every message you receive.

No, never. We respect your privacy and you will never receive anything except for official MCPHS emergency communications.

No, you can’t subscribe directly;  however your student has the option to include additional contact numbers and email addresses in his/her account. You can ask your student to add your contact information to his/her account on your behalf.

The Rave Alert system will not charge you in any way. However, you are responsible for paying all messaging charges associated with your wireless carrier plan. MCPHS licenses and pays for this service to offer the quickest and most reliable communications possible.

Rave Alert supports all U.S. mobile carriers.

If you change your mobile number, please log in to the system and update your contact details. If you’ve changed providers, but your number hasn’t changed, you may want to update your carrier information in your subscription settings as well. This step is not required—it will eventually be updated by the mobile carrier in Rave Alert, but this update may take a few weeks to reflect in the system. To ensure you do not miss any emergency messages, you may also simply log in to the system and update your carrier information in your settings directly.
